Projects
Union Station
HBC undertook a significant project at Union Station in downtown Denver, Colorado. Throughout this endeavor, HBC managed the removal of two condensing steam boilers, an associated storage tank, and the heat exchange, ensuring safe and efficient demolition. Additionally, HBC oversaw the retrofitting of piping to accommodate nine Navon condensing boilers and fourteen Navon instant water heaters. These modifications were instrumental in enhancing system efficiency, reducing operational costs, and elevating the overall quality of the property’s infrastructure.
Oxford Hotel
HBC served as the prime mechanical contractor for The Oxford Hotel, addressing the inefficiency of its basement-located boiler. Utilizing a crane for safe removal, they installed a new system, retrofitted piping with added insulation, and integrated new electrical components and exhaust fans. This reengineered design, featuring efficient condensing boilers, led to an impressive 40% reduction in gas costs.
